We were cordially invited to spend a weekend tucked away between the hills of Vermont at the comforts of Amee Farm Lodge and Riverside Farm. The properties stretched for acres in a small town, where an honor system is kept true and everyone is bound to meet you at least once. Each barn and cottage holds a unique, rustic, and natural aesthetic with it’s own personal touch. We especially loved hearing the stories behind the trees that were used and preserved for many of the spaces. The views were even more magical after an evening snowfall. As you will witness in the post, the location lends itself well to any weather you throw at it. During our stay we spent our nights lodging at Amee Farm, a wonderful bed and breakfast lodge with our kind and courteous innkeepers Simon & Jessica who were able to entertain all the questions we threw at them. We truly felt in the midst of nature while nestled in a cozy lodge. We are excited to share these photos with you!
What makes this place so special is really how the owners Courtney & Joe are so involved with the community. Courtney gave us a personal tour of the whole property allowing us to check out all the nooks and crannies; spaces that can be used to hold weddings and receptions, bridal suites, the different rooms, and the list goes on. In the midst of our tour, we even ran into Joe (Courtney’s husband), who invited us to join him and his friends on a hike they were headed out to. It goes to show the friendliness of the environment. What’s makes this place even more intimate is that Courtney & Joe got married on the property which they now currently live on. You can really see the delicate holistic touches they’ve had on the spaces as well as the environment and it’s overall sustainability.
Their idea is to preserve the place, and not just the barn, but also the charm. So whether you venture out to Vermont for a skiing trip, or interested in hold a secluded and intimate wedding, this is truly a beautiful place that will fit all of your needs :]
